Shenneng energy-efficient oil and gas boiler is a condensing boiler which improves the boiler efficiency with reasonably designed heating surface to reduce exhaust gas temperature and allow the water vapor in the flue gas to meet the condensation rate of the design requirement on the research basis of the analysis and summary of the relationship between water vapor condensation rate in flue gas and exhaust gas temperature, the relationship between the condensation rate and efficiency as well as the corrosion rate of the condensate water on different kinds of steels.

Operating Principle

Exhaust gas temperature is one of the basic parameters of the boiler. Selecting lower exhaust gas temperature can reduce the exhaust gas loss of the boilers and help improve the thermal efficiency of the boiler. If the exhaust gas temperature of the boiler is lowered to a temperature low enough, the superheated water vapor in the fuel gas will condense and then release the vaporization heat, which could be absorbed and utilized by the boiler. 

Performance Features

Energy-saving effect is very significant. Calculated in low calorific value of the fuel, the thermal efficiency is more than 100%; it is more environmentally friendly; the harmful ingredient in smoke is dissolved in the condensate water, effectively reducing emissions and improving emission targets.

Design Philosophy of the Condensing Boiler

1. Condensate Water Waste Heat Return System

The design criterion of the condensing boiler is to control the flue gas temperature to make sure it is lower than the dew point temperature. For steam boiler, it is obviously impossible to achieve condensation of water vapor in the flue gas through heat transfer of the gas → water with water temperature reaching 219.2℉ by thermal deaeration.

So Shenneng Company applies an independent condenser to transfer heat for the soft water (room temperature water) entering into the deaerator to achieve the purpose of the flue gas condensation.

2. Material of the Condensate Water Waste Heat Recovery Device 

The product of the oil and gas combustion contains SO2, NOX and other harmful substances and the condensate water dissolved in exhaust gas has strong acidity. Therefore, condensate water waste heat recovery device must use corrosion-resistant materials. Shenneng condenser tubes adopt the best special ND steel with “resistance to low temperature dew point sulfuric acid corrosion", having excellent performance of resistance to corrosion and resistance to chloride corrosion. The condenser gas duct steel plate surface, which touches the flue gas is painted with corrosion-resistant asphalt paint.

3. Recovery and Discharge of the Condensate Water

Boiler emissions includes COx, NOx and SOx, etc., among which NOx and SOx can form acid rain and CO2 can generate greenhouse effect. Hence, it is very important to control the air pollution emissions of the boiler. On one hand, condensing boilers can reduce fuel consumption and pollutant emissions accordingly due to its high efficiency; on the other hand, the condensate water can absorb some COx, NOx and SOx, greatly reducing pollutant emissions. Because the condensate water is acidic, it can be discharged into a neutralization tank and inspect the PH value in the tank periodically.

4.Mechanical Features of the Condensing Boiler

Structural Features of the Boiler Body

●The overall layout of the WNS condensing series of boiler applies the design idea of horizontal wet back structure, low-position arrangement of the combustion chamber center and symmetrically distributed heat smoke tube. Heat transfer is uniform and stable, in favor of working medium side water-steam circulation, minimizing water-lack accident and improving the boiler safety. 

●Rational application of corrugated furnace and enhanced heat transfer element spirally corrugated tube not only strengthens the turbulent heat transfer of high temperature flue gas but also effectively reduces the furnace expansion caused by heat and contraction caused by cold.

●The boiler applies the design idea of large boiler furnace with large shell and maximum heating surface and can burn completely, leave no carbon deposit, save fuel and have the features of high efficiency, high output and notable overload ability.

Condensing Heat Exchanger

● Arranged on top of the boiler, with compact structure and no floor area.

● Countercurrent arrangement structure, with large heat transfer temperature difference and good heat transfer performance.

● Application of special ND steel materials with good corrosion resistance to condensate water, greatly improving the service life.

● Application of reasonable gas duct structure, easy for the discharge and collection of condensate water.

Automatic Control System

● Apply burner PID regulation technology, equipped with European imported burner, realizing the best configuration of air-fuel ratio so as to achieve full combustion of the fuel.

● The boiler water supply applies frequency conversion water supply way, changing the water yield and the water pump power through changing the pump motor running frequency so as to save the energy and water and reduce power consumption.
