Allianz Life Insurance of North America (Allianz Life) has promoted Emily Reitan to senior director of strategy and business development and will report to the firm's chief marketing officer, Nancy Jones.
In her new role, Reitan will be responsible for Allianz Life's market and business development strategy, marketing planning as well as its retirement strategy.
Jones said that Reitan will be integral in Allianz Life business development strategies while working with key leaders across the company.
"Her demonstrated ability to synthesize complex information, make innovative recommendations and influence others will be critically important to helping us deliver on our objectives," Jones added.
Most recently, Reitan was director of executive projects and led key strategic projects on behalf of the president and CEO Walter White, while coordinating deliverables for Allianz operating entities globally.
Earlier, Reitan served Allianz Life subsidiary Questar Capital as chief financial officer and was responsible for modelling, business planning, regulatory reporting and audits.
Prior to joining Allianz Life in 2005, Reitan held service with Cardinal Health as senior financial analyst.
