It’s time to find out when the 2013 Global Challenge of The Fresh Connection kicks off in Sydney on 27 February

Between February and April, supply chain professionals from Australia and New Zealand will have the opportunity to compete globally against fellow professionals in a unique and innovative learning challenge called The Fresh Connection

The Fresh Connection Global Challenge blends face-to-face workshop-style learning with remote global participation, to test knowledge, improve skills, and educate professionals of all experience levels. Participants will simultaneously participate with fellow professionals in over 25 countries, from 200+ companies, all of whom have the task to save the fictitious company, The Fresh Connection, from financial ruin.

The challenge will visit the major supply chain hubs in Australasia between February and April, and will answer the question: which city has the best and brightest supply chain professionals?

The winning team from the AUS/NZ pool will win a trip to Istanbul, Turkey, to represent Australasia in the global final of The Fresh Connection.

Sydney – 27 February (register before 20 Feb). Auckland – 7 March (register before 28 Feb). Melbourne – 13 March (register before 6 Mar). Brisbane – 10 April (register before 29 Mar). Perth – 16 April (register before 5 April).

About the challenge

The Fresh Connection is a manufacturing business selling to retailers and end consumers. A team of four takes over operations, purchasing, supply chain and sales. Teams compete to improve the company’s performance by taking a series of critical decisions An innovative simulated business environment provides real-life experiences, lots of data and KPI, and changing business dynamics, with decisions to be made in all departments. The objective? To maximise return on investment.

15 teams are already registered from companies including Bluescope, Caltex, Johnson & Johnson, and Thales.
